Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mentra ("the Service"), a content intelligence platform operated by WEDDEsign, a Norwegian sole proprietorship (org.nr 935 153 603), with its registered address at Skjæret 29, 1390 Vollen, Norway ("we", "us", "the Company").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Mentra is a headless content management system (CMS) with AI-powered content generation, research, and management tools. The Service is provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform accessible via web browser.

3. Accounts & Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Multi-Tenancy & Workspaces

The Service operates on a multi-tenant architecture. Each workspace ("tenant") is isolated. You may be a member of multiple workspaces, each with its own subscription, content, and access controls.

Workspace administrators are responsible for managing user access and permissions within their workspace.

5. Subscriptions & Payment

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe.
  • Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment at a discounted rate.
  • All prices are in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings.
  • Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law.

6. AI Credits & Fair Use

Each plan includes a monthly allocation of AI credits. Credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features such as content generation, research, summarisation, image generation, and video creation.

  • Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period.
  • Plans marketed as "Unlimited" are subject to a fair-use soft cap designed to prevent abuse. Normal usage will not be affected.
  • We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that exhibit automated or abusive usage patterns.

7. Content Ownership

  • You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or generate using the Service.
  • We do not claim ownership of your content.
  • You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • AI-generated content is provided "as is". You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated output before publication.

8. Headless API & Public API

The Service provides API access for delivering content to external applications. Your use of the API is subject to rate limits and fair-use policies specific to your plan. API keys are confidential and must not be shared publicly.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law.
  • Upload or generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or violates third-party rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or workspaces.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product.
  • Automate access to the Service beyond the provided APIs without written consent.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WEDDEsign shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
  • You may request a data export before termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
